Piano Lessons
Professional & Innovative Training
My channel for sharing piano learning in scientific and high effective way in bilingual.
Course Overview
Playing the piano is more than just pressing keys – it is a comprehensive skill that combines technique, music theory, cultural understanding, sight reading, and aural training. My lessons integrate all these aspects, helping students develop in a balanced way, just like professional pianists. Unlike traditional methods that rely on imitation, I guide students to actively explore music, refine their aesthetic awareness, and develop critical thinking through interactive study and guided research.

Innovative Teaching Approach
Lessons combine in-person and online instruction, leveraging modern technology to enhance learning. I encourage students to actively explore, experiment, and engage in guided research rather than simply imitate. This method develops both technical skill and deep musical understanding.
Student Selection & Trial Lessons
Silicon Valley Spirit & Plasticity
Having lived in Silicon Valley for many years, I am inspired by its culture of innovation: continuous experimentation, iterative learning, and openness to change. I apply the same principles in selecting students and collaborating with families.
Trial Lesson Mechanism
Trial lessons are conducted online for flexibility and convenience. During this session, I perform a comprehensive evaluation of each student’s abilities, including technical skill, musical understanding, sight-reading, ear training, pitch recognition, rhythm sense, focus, and aesthetic sensitivity. I also observe cognitive flexibility: whether the student is willing to try new learning methods, engage actively in online interaction, and make small adjustments when guided.
In addition, I introduce the studio’s policies and expectations. This includes collaboration, commitment to practice, punctuality, and mutual respect. Treating the lesson as a structured partnership establishes a sense of responsibility and reinforces the concept of learning as a shared journey between teacher and student.
The trial lesson therefore serves multiple purposes: it identifies students who are open to growth and can benefit most from my teaching approach, provides a baseline for personalized learning plans, evaluates key musical skills such as pitch and rhythm, and ensures that both student and family understand the expectations and collaborative ethos of the studio.
